Transport bolstered for Celtic FC vs. Mariners clash

Fans will have no trouble getting to the highly anticipated Celtic FC vs. Central Coast Mariners clash at ANZ Stadium on Saturday 2 July with the introduction of additional train and bus services. Meanwhile, ANZ Stadium is changing shape to enhance the highly charged atmosphere.

To ensure supporters heading to and from the match enjoy a smooth trip, RailCorp will implement 12 direct train services between Central and Sydney Olympic Park.

Fans travelling from the Central Coast are also catered for with extra carriages on services departing Wyong to Central at 3.30pm and 4.50pm, along with the 10.15pm return service. There will also be an additional return service for Newcastle and the Central Coast.

With such fantastic transport options available, fans are encouraged to leave the car at home and take advantage of the additional public transport.

Central Coast Mariners management has also arranged for interested football fans to travel to and from the match via coach.

With two departure points on the day of the game (4:30pm at Club Tuggerah and 5pm at Central Coast Leagues Club), a return ticket costs just $25 per supporter.

Meanwhile, ANZ Stadium management has confirmed that the side grandstands of the arena will be moved closer to the pitch to further improve the intense atmosphere expected at the match.

The tighter configuration will ensure supporters are as close as possible to the action, enhancing the spectacle for players and fans alike.

With a strong squad including international stars Scott Brown (Scotland), Georgios Samaras (Greece), Ki Sung-Yueng (South Korea), Daniel Majstorovic (Sweden) and Beram Kayal (Israel) confirmed to tour Australia, the match is a rare opportunity to witness a club of the magnitude of the Glasgow giants in New South Wales.
