The Central Coast Mariners face a short turnaround this week ahead of their clash with Sydney FC and Paul Okon has named an extended squad.
Paul Izzo is the only obvious omission from last week’s match day squad due to his suspension for the red card he received against Melbourne City. That brings Foxtel National Youth League goalkeeper, Adam Pearce into the 18-man-squad battling for the starting spot with the experienced Ivan Necevski.
Another former Sydney FC player who is up for selection this week is Jacques Faty who has worked his way back to full fitness after sustaining a hamstring injury that has kept him sidelined.
Okon has been pleased with the side’s performances during 2017 and will be reluctant to make wholesale changes against the Sky Blues.
