Custodian Mathew Ryan linked with the Qantas Socceroos on Monday and will gain valuable experience over the next week as he trains with Australian goalkeeping great Mark Schwarzer in Sydney.

Ryan and his Qantas Socceroos teammates will take on Oman in FIFA World Cup Qualifying on Tuesday 26 March with kick-off at ANZ Stadium at 7:30pm. The game will be shown on both FOX SPORTS and SBS.

Meanwhile, midfield maestro Michael McGlinchey is currently in New Zealand preparing for the All Whites- crucial FIFA World Cup Qualifier against New Caledonia in Dunedin.

Ricki Herbert-s side will gain its place in the intercontinental playoff in November should it defeat ‘Les Cagous- in Dunedin.

The All Whites currently top the Oceania standings with a perfect four wins from four matches, but a resurgent New Caledonia have pulled up behind New Zealand in the standings following a pair of wins in the October window.

Following the game against New Caledonia, McGlinchey will venture to Honiara to face the Solomon Islands.

But, the All Whites- focus will undoubtedly be on edging closer to its second consecutive appearance in the FIFA World Cup via victory over New Caledonia at Forsyth Barr Stadium.
