Football is back on the Coast to bolster your New Year’s Eve alongside race day action at The Entertainment Grounds from 12pm right through to the fireworks at 9:15pm with a Hyundai A-League fixture in between. For the first time ever, the Central Coast Mariners are pleased to announce that you will also have the option to watch Gosford’s fireworks from the comfort of Central Coast Stadium!
In great news for not just Mariners fans but the Central Coast as a whole, football is back this New Year’s Eve and we’ve taken the time to lay out the best way to celebrate the arrival of 2016.
The Entertainment Grounds (Gosford races from 12:00pm)
Traditionally, New Year’s Eve on the Central Coast kicks off at Gosford Races, the Twilight meeting commences at 12:00pm and you can use your Mariners matchday ticket or Membership card to gain entry.
Central Coast Mariners Official Pre-Game Function (Kendall bar – 4:00pm)
After backing a few winners at the races, join us at the Kendall Bar in Central Coast Leagues Club where you can hear from Tony Walmsley and his coaching staff to catch all of the team news before anyone else.
This will also be your first opportunity to pick up a copy of our Official Match Day Programme ‘The Loose Cannon’.
Hyundai A-League – Central Coast Mariners vs. Wellington Phoenix (Gates open 6:00pm)
After a one season hiatus, New Year’s Eve football and fireworks returns to Central Coast Stadium that will see us face off against Wellington Phoenix.
Kick-off is 7:00pm in front of what is expected to be a bumper crowd by Gosford’s idyllic waterfront.
Fireworks on the waterfront (9:15pm)
For the first time ever, Central Coast Mariners Members & fans will have the opportunity to stay inside Central Coast Stadium (Western Warm Up Field) to enjoy the fireworks display that is promised to be bigger and better than ever before.
Spectators also have the option to head across to the Leagues Club Field and get amongst the activities on offer.
