On-loan Central Coast Mariners striker Daniel McBreen netted his first goal for Shanghai SIPG on Sunday as Gao Hongbo-s side secured a 3-0 win over Guizhou Renhe in Guiyang.

In just his second appearance for his temporary Club, McBreen got East Asia off to the perfect start in their clash against Renhe – who the Mariners played in the 2013 AFC Champions League Group Stage – with a goal in the 10th minute of play.

McBreen also played provider for the final goal of the game scored by Colombian attacker Luis Carlos Cabezas Mairongo close to full time.

Former Mariners attacker Bernie Ibini remained on the bench for Shanghai SIPG on the night as East Asia secured three valuable competition points to move to eighth place in the 16 team Chinese Super League.

Elsewhere in China, ex-Mariners midfielder Rostyn Griffiths was not in the squad as Guangzhou R&F won 4-1 over Hangzhou Greentown at home.

In Korea Republic, Alex Wilkinson played 90 minutes as Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors continued their strong form with a 2-1 win away to Busan I-Park. Jeonbuk remain in the hunt for the K-Classic title, and are currently just four points shy of league leaders Ulsan Hyundai.

In Switzerland, Oliver Bozanic managed a solid 80 minute shift for FC Luzern as the Club got their Swiss Super League season off to the best possible start with a 2-0 victory over Lausanne-Sport.

Elsewhere, goalkeeper Mathew Ryan is currently in England with his Club Brugge teammates as they continue their preparations for the Belgian Pro League season. Ryan has featured regularly throughout the pre-season for Brugge as he aims to impress coach Juan Carlos Garrido before Blau-Zwart play their first competition game of the season at home to Charleroi on Friday 26 July.

And Tomas Rogic could be set to play in Glasgow Celtic-s UEFA Champions League Qualifier against Northern Ireland-s Cliftonville FC on Wednesday (UK time) after he played regularly during the Hoops- pre-season tour of Germany. Unfortunately, results didn-t go Celtic-s way in Deutschland, as they suffered heavy losses against the likes of Greuther Furth and Union Berlin.
