Central Coast Mariners will return to Gosford’s Bluetongue Stadium for the first time in three weeks when the Club hosts Melbourne Victory in round 8 of Hyundai A-League 2013/14 this Friday night.
Central Coast Mariners will return to Gosford-s Bluetongue Stadium for the first time in three weeks when the Club hosts Melbourne Victory in round 8 of Hyundai A-League 2013/14 this Friday night.
The match will mark Phil Moss-s first in charge of the Club on home soil, and be broadcast to an anticipated viewing audience of over 250,000 people across the nation.
As normal, FOX SPORTS will cover the match live, however for the first time in the Club-s history a Mariners match will also be broadcast live and free to air with SBS TWO airing Harvey Norman Friday Night Football from Gosford-s idyllic bayside arena.
While the game between Moss-s Mariners and Muscat-s Melbourne ought to excite fans, the game will also provide Central Coast aficionados with the opportunity to wish the Club-s former Head Coach Graham Arnold a fond farewell.
At half time of the encounter between the two successful sides the Mariners will make a special presentation to Arnold to recognise his contribution to the Club.
While Arnold is not set to leave Australia to commence his role with J-League outfit Vegalta Sendai until January, Central Coast Mariners Group General Manager, Mr Peter Turnbull, said it is appropriate to honour Arnold at the first available opportunity.
“Graham Arnold has made a telling contribution to the future and history of our football Club,” Turnbull said. “We think it is only fitting that – while Graham-s move to Japan is still fresh – we recognise his amazing accomplishments during his time with the Club.”
