SUPPORTERS of the Central Coast Mariners are invited to attend the Club-s 2012 Fan Forum at Mingara Recreation Club on Monday 6 August.

Taking place between 6:30pm and 8:00pm in the Mingara Showroom, fans will have the opportunity to air their ideas and talk with Club Officials regarding recent developments the Mariners have made, as well as the outlook for the 2011/12 Hyundai A-League Premiers.

Central Coast Mariners General Manager of Football, Mr Lawrie McKinna, will MC the evening and light snacks and refreshments will be available to supporters throughout the night.

A panel consisting of Mariners Chairman Mr Peter Turnbull, Director Mr Bob Graham, Head Coach Mr Graham Arnold, and a senior team player yet to be confirmed will answer queries from fans eager to understand the practices and processes the Club is implementing to ensure it remains not only successful on the field, but an innovative and sustainable force off it.

Mr Turnbull today said he is looking forward to meet with the many Members and fans the Club hopes will attend the event.

“We have been looking for an opportunity to hold a Fan Forum for some time and want to use the evening to speak with supporters who have questions to ask us and ideas to share with us,” he said.

“As a Club the past 12 months have been highly successful. We won the Hyundai A-League Premiership as well as the National Youth League crown, and competed in our second AFC Champions League. In addition, we launched the Central Coast Mariners Academy in conjunction with Central Coast Football.

“We also enjoyed record Membership numbers, saw a bounce in our year-on-year A-League match attendances, and completed Stage One of the Central Coast Mariners Centre of Excellence. Our community initiatives, including our free MarinersACTIVE Schools Programs, again proved popular.

“But we need to ensure our supporters have the opportunity to meet with Club Officials at least annually so they can express their views to us one-on-one. We invite all interested fans to come along,” he concluded.
