3′ – First chance as Daniel McBreen unleashes Matt Simon into space down the left but the Bankstown ‘keeper looks up for it, fine save
5′ – Bankstown’s Robert Mileski is one on one with Danny Vukovic, but it’s easy for the Mariners’ custodian
7′ – Central Coast win a penalty after Shannon Burgin handled an Adam KWasnik corner and Daniel McBreen steps up
8′ – GOAL. McBreen buries it into the top left corner, 1-0.
13′ – McBreen tries a speculator from 30 yards and it dips too, eventually skimming the crossbar
14′ – Marc Warren goes on a mazy run through the middle and forces another great save from Joseski, the game is really opening up
15′ – Chris Doig brings down Robert Mileski and Bankstown have the chance to level with the game’s second penalty
15′ – GOAL. Tallen Martin blasts it straight down the middle. 1-1
25′ – Phew, after a frenetic opening, both sides have begun to move the ball around, Bankstown well and truly holding their own
26′ – GOAL. Commentators curse. Just as I say that, Oliver Bozanic sneaks through and fires sweetly into the bottom corner, and the Mariners retake the lead. 2-1.
36′ – Bankstown only half clear a Pedj Bojic cross and John Hutchinson fires over first time
42′ – John Hutchinson looks set to extend the lead but a fantastic tackle by last man Ali HAydar denies the Mariners their third

HALF TIME – The Mariners deserve their lead, but take nothing away from Bankstown, they have defended resolutely, and have been impressive against their Hyundai A-League opponents. Marc Warren has again been impressive, while Oliver Bozanic has also looked very sharp in his return to the club.

46′ – Four half-time subs for the Mariners, as Marc Warren, Alex Wilkinson, Oliver Bozanic and Adam Kwasnik make way for Sam Gallagher, Brad Porter, Mustafa Amini and Brady Smith. Bankstown have made eight changes.
54′ – Matt Simon plays in Pedj Bojic down the right and Joseski spills the shot, but the hosts clear the danger
55′ – Hassan Akil goes on a run but fires over from the edge of the area, the hosts certainly aren’t giving up
63′ – Bojic fires a good ball in from the right and Simon gets highest, but his header is agonisingly wide of the far post
64′ – That was to be the pair’s last involvement too, as they make way for Matthew Lewis and Mitchell Duke, with Lewis joining McBreen up front and Duke playing wide on the right
68′ – Mariners’ NYL and South Coast Wolves goalkeeper Nikodin Matic comes on for Danny Vukovic
69′ – Steven Tibbetts loses the ball at the back and McBreen was a bit surprised, unable to control and make Tibbets pay
69′ – On the counter, Matic is forced to make an early save to deny the impressive Akil, before Troy Danaskos fired wide
73′ – Matthew Lewis shoots over from about 25 yards out
74′ – McBreen heads a Sam Gallagher delivery wide
77′ – Triallists Edwards, Pepper and Glanville are introduced for John Hutchinson, Daniel McBreen and Rostyn Griffiths
79′ – Adem Huseyin goes down under what appeared to be minimal contact from Gallagher but the referee points to the spot
80′ – GOAL. Huseyin converts his own penalty. 2-2.
83′ – Duke’s curling free-kick from the left edge appears goalbound, but Bankstown get a touch to concede a corner
85′ – Matthew Lewis is in down the left but again the hosts defend as if their lives depend on it and concede another corner

FULL TIME: It finishes 2-2, The MAriners had just Chris Doig and Brad Porter as established first teamers in the side at the final whistle, but Bankstown fully deserve the draw after a highly committed performance.
