OVER 200 school kids from around the Central Coast took part in a fun-filled Cotteeā€™s 5-a-side football clinic held at Wadalba Sports Complex, Kanwal today.

OVER 200 school kids from around the Central Coast took part in a fun-filled Cottee-s 5-a-side football clinic held at Wadalba Sports Complex, Kanwal today.

Students from St Mary-s, Toukley, Wadalba Community School, Wyong Creek Public School, Tuggerawong Public School, Jilliby Public School, North Lakes Public School, and Blue Haven Public School participated in the day, practicing their skills in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Since Cottee-s 5-a-side was launched in 2009, over 25,000 children have been involved in the full day program incorporating numerous drills and skills.

Administered by Football Federation Australia (FFA), Cottee-s 5-a-side aims to provide an extra avenue for players to enjoy the round ball game.

At the end of the event, each child received a show-bag packed full of fun and insightful information courtesy of Cottee-s.

A school attending a Cottee-s Schools 5-a-side plays a minimum of five games in a round robin format. The simplified rules make the main focus of the day all about participation and enjoyment. This ensures that boys and girls of any ability are able to be includes in teams and able to enjoy a day of football.
