All the Central Coast Mariners Academy girls and women-s teams were on the road last weekend to play Macarthur in Round 5 of the Women-s Premier League. The rain held off just long enough for all games to go ahead.

It was an early start for the Grade 12 girls having to be at Lynwood Park south west of Sydney by 8am for a 9am kick off. Central Coast Girls Grade 12 and 16 girls teams both came away with wins. The Grade 12 girls scored their first win of the season winning 3-2 win over Macarthur with the win much celebrated by the team who have been training hard since mid-January. Two of the Coast-s goals were scored by Aimy Long with the other goal scored by Brittni Nicol.

The First Grade Senior Women-s game was the match of the Round with both teams going into the game on equal standing on the ladder. The Rams secured a 3-1 win over the travelling Coast team which now sees Macarthur jump ahead of the Coast on the table. A full report on Women-s first grade game can be found here.

All of the girls and women-s teams are back home again next weekend for Round 6 of the 2012 season when they play Gladesville Ravens at Pluim Park. The action starts at 9am with the First Grade game kicking off at 3pm.
