Join the Yellow Army on Sunday! Will The Mariners continue their awesome start to the season, or can Adelaide United spoil the party? Get down to the Bluetongue Stadium and make some noise!…

…The Mariners go into Sunday-s match against Adelaide United with bragging rights, being the only team who managed to secure a win in Week 1, and they will be looking to build on their three-game unbeaten stretch at the Bluetongue Stadium, having last tasted defeat on home soil way back on New Year-s Eve 2009, against Wellington Phoenix.

However, Mariners failed to overcome Adelaide United in any of the sides- three meetings last campaign, with two games ending in stalemates and United enjoying a 1-0 home win in the first tussle of the season between the two.

United also head to the Bluetongue Stadium in the knowledge that it was there that they secured their biggest ever Hyundai A-League away victory, back in January 2007, when they left with a 3-1 win under their belts.

United though, know they will have their work cut out breaking down the organised Mariners, for whom Dutchman Patrick Zwaanswijk is set for his home league debut in defence alongside last week-s match-winner, the long-serving Alex Wilkinson who, by contrast, is embarking on his sixth season at the club. Another goal-scoring contribution from Wilkinson would be somewhat surprising.
Last week-s winner was just his second goal in 112 appearances.
