Big names added for Wellington trip

Ahead of the Central Coast Mariners away trip to New Zealand to face the Wellington Phoenix, Paul Okon has named an 18-man-provisional-squad.

After missing key players last Thursday night against Adelaide United the Central Coast Mariners stocks could be bolstered by the return of experienced bodies this Saturday against the Phoenix.

Captain Alan Baro missed the round seven clash through suspension but will this week put his hand up for selection having served his one week on the sideline. In more defensive news, Josh Rose will remain on the Central Coast having not recovered in time from the calf injury he picked up during the warm up last week at Central Coast Stadium.

In the front third, Paul Okon may have some selection headaches to ponder with Asdrubal working towards full fitness and Blake Powell named for the first time this season after recovering from a long term injury. Powell is in red hot form having featured for the youth team last Sunday night and scoring the equaliser against the Newcastle Jets.
