The match had originally been scheduled for a 5pm kick off at Knox Grammar School, Wahroonga, however following concerns held by Sydney FC staff over the state of the pitch, the club has made the decision to switch the match to Leichhardt Oval, the match now kicking off at 7:00pm.
While the match will be the first time the fierce rivals have clashed outside a competitive environment, any clash featuring the Sky Blues and the Yellow and Navy is sure to be a memorable affair.
57 goals have been scored in 17 clashes between the two sides, nine of which coming in what neutrals will remember as arguably the greatest game in the Hyundai A-League’s short history, a 5-4 win to Sydney FC in a festive season firecracker in December 2007.
General Admission tickets for the match will cost $10 for adults, $5 for concession with children under the age of 14 admitted free of charge.
