Tom Heward-Belle burst onto the Hyundai A-League scene after being called into action to replace Paul Izzo who picked up a red card against Sydney FC during the Hyundai A-League 2015/16 season as an 18-year-old. During his first season as a professional, the young shot stopper earned plaudits as one of the best emerging keepers in the country. Before Heward-Belle’s time on the Central Coast he was a part of Western Sydney Wanderers’ AFC Champions League squad and also spent time in Europe with Belgium’s Club Brugge. Heward-Belle was rewarded with his maiden Hyundai A-League contract in the lead up to the Hyundai A-League 2016/17 season.
