Are you on board?

CENTRAL Coast Mariners officially launched their 2013/14 Hyundai A-League Membership campaign – Target 5,000: Are You On Board? – at the Club-s first Fan Forum of the year at Mingara, Tumbi Umbi on Monday evening.

With Football Federation Australia (FFA) Chief Executive Officer, Mr David Gallop and Head of Hyundai A-League, Mr Damien de Bohun in attendance to show their support for Central Coast-s ambitions, Mariners officials outlined the Club-s goal to register 5,000 Members prior to the commencement of the team-s Championship defence.

Central Coast Mariners Group General Manager, Mr Peter Turnbull, told the 200 Forum attendees that over 1,200 people had already renewed their Membership or signed-up as a new Mariners Member for the 2013/14 season.

And Turnbull urged the community to pledge their support to the Club as the Mariners aim to smash their previous best Member figure of just over 3,500 before Central Coast battle Western Sydney Wanderers in a Hyundai A-League round 1 blockbuster at Gosford-s Bluetongue Stadium on Saturday 12 October.

“Last season we showed that we are the best team on the pitch, and next season we-ll be deploying a strong side with the intent of building on the undeniable playing success we-ve enjoyed since the Hyundai A-League commenced,” Turnbull said.

“But next season for the Club is just as much about building our Membership base, which will help ensure the Mariners remain a viable and innovative A-League entity focussed on developing elite youth, attracting major corporate partners, and winning silverware.”

“From early July our Membership team and players will be at shopping centres, markets, events and football Clubs across the Coast sharing our Membership information, interacting with fans and highlighting the many advantages of being a Mariners Member.”

Central Coast Mariners majority owner, Mr Mike Charlesworth, said fans have the unique opportunity to have their name emblazoned in Mariners history should they elect to become a Member of the Club for Hyundai A-League season nine.

“Should we reach our 2013/14 Member target of 5,000 Members we will be producing a special one-off playing kit,” Charlesworth explained. “The kit will have the name of every Mariners Member printed on it and will be available to be purchased exclusively by Mariners Members.”

Central Coast Mariners have a range of Member options for the 2013/14 Hyundai A-League season, with fans able to pledge their support for the Club from as little as $30.

Memberships are available for those who enjoy the best seats in the house (Platinum & Gold), people preferring the benefit of general admission and sitting with casual attending friends (Blue), and supporters keen on getting loud and active throughout fixtures (Yellow Army).

The Mariners also offer a six-month payment plan on most Membership packages, making it even more affordable to make the Membership commitment. The Club also has three and six game Member options available, as well as non-ticketed Memberships for fans based away from the Coast and for the first time, pet memberships.

“With six New South Wales derbies in Gosford next season, priority access to finals tickets, exclusive event invitations and the knowledge that you-re helping strengthen the foundations of the Club, Membership truly is a great option for our fans,” Charlesworth concluded.
