Hi Members,

Dan the Membership Man here. I can’t believe the season has already drawn to an end.

The reason I am sending this e-mail is to say a big thank you to all of the Members for your continuous support over the Hyundai A-League 2016/17 season.

Over the past 12 months, we have seen massive improvement in the football department with the appointment of Paul ‘Paolo’ Okon and I think it’s clear to everyone how passionate he is about our proud football club. You only have to look at his antics on the sideline or watch one of his training sessions to see that.

For our Membership department, it has been a great season and as a club we are proud to reach a record Membership number of 6265 Members.

Although, what has really made me proud is the results from the recent Membership survey that so many of you filled out. Every Hyundai A-League club participated and we can’t thank you enough for the overwhelmingly positive feedback submitted.

The independent report prepared by The Gemba Group, a leading authority in the world of sport and entertainment, surveyed more than 5,000 Hyundai A-League Club Members across the league to measure satisfaction with their respective club membership. The report focused on seven key determinants:

  • Membership Package Value Proposition
  • Involvement in Club
  • Purchasing the Membership
  • Club Administration
  • On-Field Performance
  • Game Day Experience
  • Marketing and Communications

The annual club benchmarking report found that Central Coast Mariners have made the most impressive strides in improving its Members satisfaction to sit THIRD highest for overall satisfaction in the Hyundai A-League. The key findings for the Central Coast Mariners were:

  • The Central Coast Mariners saw the biggest overall improvement in the Hyundai A-League
  • Central Coast Mariners have strong Member Satisfaction despite ladder position
  • The Central Coast Mariners earned the biggest improvement in ‘likelihood to renew’ with 85% of Members saying they are VERY likely to renew
  • The Central Coast Mariners achieved strong improvement in Members Net Promoter Score (likelihood of Members to advocate on behalf of the Mariners)
  • The Central Coast Mariners recorded the biggest increase in Membership value and second highest rating overall in value of their Membership packages
  • The Central Coast Mariners achieved the biggest improvement and are ranked number one when it comes to ‘Member involvement with the club’

For the Central Coast Mariners to be ranked third overall in the Hyundai A-League when it comes to Membership Satisfaction is something that we are very proud of and the club cannot thank you enough.

We also had some great feedback on what our Members wanted in their Membership packs and changes to the stadium that we are in talks with the Central Coast Stadium about to improve over the off-season.

We are excited to announce that this season, the first 3000 Members who renew will be given an EXCLUSIVE Members Scarf ahead of the 2017/18 season.

It’s almost that time of the season again where we will launch our Earlybird Membership Renewals and field seating requests and we will make sure that anyone who lodges a seating request will be called personally to provide a solution.

As a part of the off-season review, all elements of the football club will be looked at – including the exclusive Mariners Members Facebook Page. Thanks to everyone who took part in the Mariners Members Facebook Group, in the coming weeks this group will be put ‘under construction’ to assess how we can improve the experience for our Members.

In the meantime make sure you invite your friends and family to ‘like’ the official Central Coast Mariners Facebook page – help our supporter base grow and keep them up to date with the latest news.

We’re excited to get out and about this off season in the community recruiting Central Coast existing and new members for the 2017/18 season.  We are looking forward to this season already with new and exciting challenges ahead we and can’t wait to see what new players will be arriving on the Central Coast.

I look forward to seeing everyone again and can’t wait to join you all on a new journey with the Central Coast Mariners 13th Hyundai A-league season.

GO MARINERS!

Yours in Football,
Dan Challinor

Your Central Coast Mariners Membership Man
