Squad News: Round 8 v Wellington

The Central Coast Mariners have commenced their journey to Wellington and Mike Mulvey has named a provisional squad of players who are eligible for selection.

In exciting news for Mariners fans, Jordan Murray returns from his short hiatus and will make his return this weekend against Wellington after recovering from an ankle injury.

Unfortunately, two more players are added to Mike Mulvey’s injury list with Ben Kennedy injuring his leg and Tom Hiariej straining his calf.

This also paves the way for exciting youngsters: Josh Macdonald, Peter Kekeris and goalkeeper Joe Gauci to put their hand up for selection in round 8.

Jonathan Aspropotamitis will continue his journey to an A-League debut for the Mariners after playing 65 minutes in the youth team after rupturing his ACL in Februrary. He is expected to play this weekend in the Foxtel Y-League.
