Central Coast Mariners- Hyundai A-League 2013/14 preparations have taken an interesting twist by virtue of the Club-s strong performances at the 2013 Menpora Cup in Indonesia.

Graham Arnold-s charges topped Group A of the eight-team international invitational competition with seven points from three games, having defeated Sriwijaya FC and Malaysia-s U23 National Team before drawing with popular local Club Persib Bandung.

The results qualified the Mariners for the tournament-s showpiece match to be held in Malang on Sunday evening at 6:30pm local time.

However, with a commitment to play against Newcastle Jets in Tamworth on Sunday, seven players from the Mariners- squad plus Arnold and the Club-s goalkeeping coach and video analyst, John Crawley, have now left Indonesia to ensure the fixture in regional NSW is fulfilled.

Michael McGlinchey, Marcel Seip, Anthony Caceres, Brent Griffiths, Liam Reddy (Gk), Hayden Morton, and Mitchell Duke will participate in the fixture in Tamworth, along with attacker Adam Kwasnik and several of the Club-s up and coming Foxtel National Youth League stars.

12 players remain in Indonesia to contest the 2013 Menpora Cup Final – Justin Pasfield (Gk), Joshua Rose, Zac Anderson, John Hutchinson, Nick Montgomery, Marcos Flores, Nick Fitzgerald, Storm Roux, Trent Sainsbury, Matt Simon, Mile Sterjovski, and Tom Slater.
