Central Coast Mariners will be throwing its support behind Junior Diabetes Research Foundation’s (JDRF) Walk to Cure Diabetes in Davistown this Sunday.

To aid fundraising at the important event, the Club has donated a navy membership for the Hyundai A-League 2014/15 campaign, ensuring the winner can watch the Mariners compete for the ultimate prize in Australian club football all season long.

JDFR’s Walk to Cure Diabetes is a 6km walk starting at Davistown Ferry Wharf, venturing along the waterfront reserve to Kincumber, before returning along the same path to the Walk Village.

Federal Minister for Robertson, Lucy Wicks, will officially open the Walk and take part, while Gosford Council General Manager, Paul Anderson, will also be returning to the Walk this year.

After the completion of the Walk, participants are invited to gather together to join in on a BBQ lunch, enjoy face painting, a magician, storyteller, and other live entertainment.

Captain Yellowbeard and Admiral Frederick from the Mariners will also take part in the walk, while there will be Mariners merchandise available for sale at bargain prices on the day.
