2012/13 Hyundai A-League Champions the Central Coast Mariners were paid a visit from State Minister for Sport and Recreation, the honourable Graham Annesley MP, at the Club-s Centre of Excellence at Tuggerah on Thursday.

Central Coast Mariners Chairman and Group General Manager, Mr Peter Turnbull showed Minister Annesley around the complex, before the Member for Miranda took in a section of the team-s recovery session.

The Mariners were defeated 2-1 by Chinese heavyweights Guangzhou Evergrande in their 2013 AFC Champions League Round of 16 First-Leg clash in Gosford on Wednesday evening.

Mr Turnbull presented Minister Annesley with his own Mariners playing shirt following the Club-s historic appearance in the knockout stage of Asia-s premier club competition.

Following the visit Mr Turnbull explained how pleased he was to host Minister Annesley at the Club’s development.

“The Minister was impressed with the work completed at the Centre and was also happy to learn that two of Australia’s national football teams recently used the facility as a training venue,” Turnbull said.

“It was a delight to show Minister Annesley the Complex and share with them our vision for the future of football in the region.”
