Earlier this year, Merrillie Redden won a competition via our Official Facebook Page for a chartered fishing experience with a number of Mariners players.
Merrillie opted to take her good friend and fellow Mariners enthusiast, Erica Harker, with her for the day.
Zwaanswijk, Hearfield and Pellegrino, along with Merrillie and Erica were in good hands aboard the impressive “Pretty Beach” vessel. Indeed, Captain Paul Joyes and his offsider Paul from 1300BIGFISH shared their years of fishing know-how with the group on a picture perfect Coast day.
Keen anglers Zwaanswijk, Hearfield and Pellegrino needed no extra invitation to grab a reel and cast their lines in search of the catch of the day.
The crew from ‘The Code: Life with the Mariners’ were also onboard to capture all the action and banter as part of the Club’s exclusive documentary series to be aired on Fox Sports Australia in 2013.
