CENTRAL Coast Mariners will utilise Sunday-s highly anticipated Hyundai A-League clash with Brisbane Roar at Bluetongue Stadium to assist in the promotion of two important community causes.

Each year the Club lends its support to White Ribbon Day and this Sunday fans will be able to make a stand against violence against women.

White Ribbon Day is the only national violence against women prevention campaign. The cause aims to raise awareness among Australian men and adolescents about the roles they can play to prevent violence against women.

In and around the Bluetongue Stadium precinct, fans will be able to purchase a White Ribbon to show their support of this valuable cause.

Central Coast Mariners Head Coach Graham Arnold said the White Ribbon Day initiative is one the Club is proud to support.

“Violence against women is unacceptable and since I have been at the Mariners this has been a cause the Club and team are only to happy to support.”

“We hope our fans take heed of the important White Ribbon Day message and help prevent violence against women.”

Meanwhile, Central Coast Mariners community partner Newcastle Permanent Building Society will be selling ‘Ducks for Bucks-.

All proceeds raised by the Ducks for Bucks campaign will be donated to Surf Life Saving Central Coast.

The Ducks for Bucks Central Coast race will be held on Saturday 1 December at The Entrance Memorial Park commencing at 6:00pm.

Supporters can adopt a Duck for $5, and there is $5,000 worth of prizes to be won. Businesses can purchase a corporate ticket for $100. All donations are tax deductible.

Keep and eye out for these two valuable initiatives when the Mariners aim to tame Brisbane Roar at Bluetongue Stadium this weekend.
