Mariners to debut fresh kits this Friday

The Central Coast Mariners are excited to launch a new range of Umbro playing kits on the eve of the club’s pre-season trial. The Yellow & Navy stream-lined home kits will be worn for the first time on Friday night against Central Coast Select.

Our 2018/19 home kit is a fresh twist on the stripes of our previous design. It features fourteen striking lines that vary in size, representing not only the club’s 14th season in the Hyundai A-League but also the changing face of the Central Coast region.

The new-look Yellow & Navy threads will be seen in the flesh for the first time tomorrow under the Friday night lights of Central Coast Stadium. Gates open at 6:30pm and you can pick up a fresh kit of your own from one of the stadium retail outlets on Dane Drive or in the northern stadium concourse.

Extra detail has been added to the left and right sock that differ from one another. Both socks reflect the distinct lines of the playing top with the right leg lined with two thin navy stripes and the left leg flanked with a bold solo streak of its own.

Back by popular demand is the stunning sash on our striking navy away strip: this time in a gradient gun-metal-grey.

Our alternate kit to be worn on the road is predominantly white with our iconic two-tone Yellow & Navy stripes running down the left side of the shirt and shorts.

Central Coast Mariners CEO Shaun Mielekamp spoke about the excitement of the club’s new range of kits and the design process behind our home kit.

Kit

“The launch of our playing kits is becoming a big moment for us every year as we always try to surprise,” Mielekamp said. “Our new kit designs are inspired by the changing face of the Central Coast region whilst proudly marking our 14th season in the Hyundai A-League as one of the competition’s foundation clubs.

“The varying lines are a representation of the growing infrastructure and architecture of Gosford which is fast becoming the bustling city-centre we all want it to be on a Mariners’ game day.

“The Head Coach has drawn a line in the sand for our team, the cranes have drawn new lines in the skies of Gosford, our playing kit designs reflect these defining moments. We simply want to give our fans something fresh that they could get behind and believe in.

“The season ahead is going to be about belief, because it will be those that believe that will have a really enjoyable season whichever way our journey plays out,” Mielekamp said.
