Ins & Outs for Friday Night Football vs. Sydney FC

On the eve of our blockbuster Friday night clash with Sydney FC at Central Coast Stadium, Paul Okon has named his provisional squad.

Storm Roux travelled with the New Zealand National Team for their upcoming FIFA World Cup Qualifiers which rules him out of contention for the Mariners back-to-back home games at Central Coast Stadium.

However, this paves the way for 19-year-old defender, Kye Rowles to be named in a Mariners squad for the first time this season. After impressing during pre-season, Rowles succumbed to a knee injury during the week leading into the Hyundai A-League season proper. The former Brisbane Roar defender featured in a youth team trial match against Sydney FC and has put his hand up for selection this week.

After keeping a clean sheet against Brisbane last week, Ben Kennedy looks likely to remain in between the sticks with Tom Glover still sidelined due to a minor shoulder injury.

After substituting off in the second half with a cork Captain Alan Baro trained in full today at Central Coast Stadium.
