HYUNDAI A-League action returns to the Central Coast this week with the table-topping Mariners hosting Melbourne Heart at Bluetongue Stadium on Friday.

The round 11 encounter offers Graham Arnold-s side the chance to consolidate its place at the summit of Australia-s top flight, however claiming maximum points against John Aloisi-s team will be no simple task.

Melbourne Heart are on a run of three games without defeat, and in round 10 secured a late winner against Perth Glory at AAMI Park via the boot of Golgol Mebrahtu.

The yellow and navy of Central Coast last played against the red and white of Melbourne on Sunday 28 October, 2012. On that day, Pedj Bojic-s stunning free kick ensured Arnold-s side returned to New South Wales with all three A-League points.

And, having triumphed 2-0 over Newcastle Jets in F3 Derby 28 at the weekend, Central Coast will be looking extend their own unbeaten run to eight games and claim their fifth consecutive win on the banks of the Brisbane Water when Heart comes to town.

While the on field contest promises to be one to inspire, the Mariners will have numerous activities in and around the Bluetongue Stadium precinct before the game.

Notably, the Club will hold a Members Only Christmas Function on the western warm-up field from 5:30pm. Join Lawrie McKinna and Santa Claus for your opportunity to win a range of special prizes, and enjoy the “gold coin donation” barbeque with all funds raised supporting the local Rural Bushfire Brigade Service.
