CENTRAL Coast Mariners recorded their biggest ever Hyundai A-League win when they netted five goals against Perth Glory in round 12 of the 2010/11 season.

The Mariners never looked like losing the clash held as part of a double-header at the Sydney Football Stadium.

Perth Glory entered the match on a six-game losing streak and things looked grim for the purple-whites when Rostyn Griffiths opened the scoring in the 37th minute.

Current Borussia Dortmund Midfielder Mustafa Amini made his starting debut for Central Coast and impressed as he played a part in the lead up to the second Mariners goal. Amini slid a pass to Daniel McBreen, with McBreen squaring the ball to Matt Simon to net the Mariners second.

Amini was substituted in the 77th minute for Adam Kwasnik who banged home the Mariners third with his first touch.

Matthew Lewis made an impact on the game after being substituted into the match late on, scoring the Mariners fourth.

It certainly wasn-t Glory-s day, and this was proven when an own-goal was scored by Naum Sekulovski with just minutes left in the game.

Be at Central Coast Stadium on Sunday 14 October when the Mariners look to crush Perth Glory in their first home match of the 2012/13 Hyundai A-League campaign.
