THERE’S just 30 days until our first Hyundai A-League match of the 2012/13 season against Western Sydney Wanderers at Parramatta Stadium. What relevance does the number 30 have for Mariners fans?

Mile Jedinak

CURRENT Qantas Socceroos and Crystal Palace midfielder Mile Jedinak was the 30th player to turn out for Central Coast Mariners.

After an established start to his career with Sydney United in the New South Wales Premier League, Jedinak joined Central Coast in 2006.

Jedinak’s drive, passion and commitment to succeed was immediately evident to the Mariners coaching staff, and over the coming seasons Jedinak would establish himself as an integral member of the Central Coast squad.

Jedinak left the yellow and navy in 2009 for Gençlerbirligi of the Turkish Sper Lig. During his time contracted to Gençlerbirligi, he spent time on loan at rival Turkish outfit Antalyaspor.

In 2011 Jedinak joined Crystal Palace of the nPower Championship.

He has played over 30 matches for the Qantas Socceroos since his debut in 2008, and represented Australia at the 2011 AFC Asian Cup in Qatar.

In total, Mile Jedinak made 51 competitive appearances for Central Coast Mariners, scoring eight goals.
