THERE are only 17 days left until the start of season 8 of the Hyundai A-League, which is the same number Mariners youngster Anthony Caceres will wear this season for Central Coast.
Unfortunately the precocious Mariners star is currently sidelined with an elbow injury, but he is one of the many reasons the yellow & navy are boasting a squad with great depth this season.
This has been Caceres- first pre-season as a full time footballer and coach Graham Arnold knows that it has been crucial to his development.
“This year will be a bit of a learning curve for him but I think he will get a fair bit of game time,” Arnold said.
Even though Caceres- pre-season has been somewhat hindered by his elbow injury he is scheduled to be back on the park soon.
Keep an eye out for Caceres- crafty footwork in the middle third of the pitch – his possession-based game and silky skills should help fashion many chances for the Mariners.
