TWO days ago we shared with you a yarn about former Mariner Matt Simon scoring the sharpest goal in Central Coast history.

Today we thought we-d delve into which Mariner has earned the ire of the referee the quickest. That record goes to marauding right back Pedj Bojic who is set to turn out for the yellow and navy again this campaign.

It was Melbourne Heart-s competitive debut in the Hyundai A-League, a fixture that ended 1-0 in favour of the Mariners in Graham Arnold-s first game at the helm. And, just 12 seconds in, Bojic went into a challenge with gusto.

Referee Chris Beath adjudged Bojic-s challenge to be a little too robust, subsequently brandishing the defender with the first yellow card of the season, in the very first minute of the season.

While Bojic has in the past collected more than his fair share of yellow tickets, it would be remiss not to cover the fantastic facets of his game.

Indeed, just last season Bojic ranked equal third in the Hyundai A-League for goal assists (six), equal fourth in the competition for completed crosses (29), seventh in the league for completed passes (1161), and eighth in division for effective tackles (84).

Statistically, Pedj Bojic is a Hyundai A-League supremo! One for your Fantasy A-League side, perhaps?
