The Central Coast Mariners have read with interest recent media reports regarding ownership of the club, and in particular the claims by Abdul Helou about the progress of his investment.
While the Mariners welcome all genuine investors, the club can confirm that no potential investors have progressed to the due diligence stage with Football Australia and this includes Mr. Helou.
The club asks that false claims and news such as this do not distract anyone, internally or externally, from the upcoming A-League season that is only days away, and the club is disappointed that such unsubstantiated articles are permitted to get the airtime that they do.
The club was not contacted in relation to the latest article regarding Helou and the Mariners.
