Approximately 150 ambitious male and female footballers, alongside their family and friends gathered at the Central Coast Mariners 2012 Academy Induction held at Central Coast Leagues Club, Gosford on Saturday.

Approximately 150 ambitious male and female footballers, alongside their family and friends gathered at the Central Coast Mariners 2012 Academy Induction held at Central Coast Leagues Club, Gosford on Saturday.

The packed crowd of over 400 people in the Parkview Room listened to speeches by Mariners Chairman Peter Turnbull, Mariners Director Bob Graham, Mariners Academy Manager Tony Walmsley, as well as Central Coast Football Representative Alistair Kennedy, before receiving their training and club apparel for the 2012 season.

The Central Coast Mariners Academy is a first for the Hyundai A-League, with the Mariners again leading the way in providing a professional development pathway for eager local talent.

The Academy teams will compete in Football NSW-s elite competitions this year.
