BLOG: Four reasons to get to #CCMvBRI

This Saturday’s clash against Brisbane Roar at Central Coast Stadium promises to provide fans with a passionate encounter between two clubs eager to rise up the Hyundai A-League standings.

But, if you need more reasons to get to the game, Ben Ingram has put together this list for members and fans alike to consider. Here are Ben’s four reasons to get to the game!

1. Help the Mariners finish 2014 with a bang!
What better time to spark a season revival than the holiday period? After a tough start to the Hyundai A-League campaign three points against Roar would be the perfect way to kick the Mariners’ finals aims into gear. A win against old foes Brisbane Roar would lift our team to level on points with the Queenslanders.

2. The party doesn’t stop at full time!
Once the game at Central Coast Stadium is over there’s no need to leave! The atmosphere transfers from the pitch to outside on the western warm-up field with DJ NORTHIE on the decks to set the tone. Pop up bars, food stalls, football games, plus meet and greets with Mariners players – it’s all happening! Bag yourself a late Boxing Day bargain at our Mariners Merchandise tent where some crazy discounts can be found. This is a post-match party you won’t want to miss!

3. Classic clashes!
There has been an array of classic clashes between these two fierce rivals over the years. Of course, the most notable was the Hyundai A-League 2011 Grand Final, which has been written into Hyundai A-League folklore. Other special encounters include the 3-3 draw at Gosford during the Roar’s record unbeaten run, and our 2-1 victory in Gosford which secured our first ever home triumph over Brisbane throughout the 2012/13 campaign. These historic and fierce clashes all have one thing in common – two teams desperate to win! Game on!

4. #StandUpForTheMariners
Fans have started the hashtag and movement #StandUpForTheMariners. We support fan driven content, conversation, and promotion of the Club. Hopefully all our fans “Stand Up” this Saturday, because the bigger the crowd, the bigger the buzz on the banks of the Brisbane Water. Bring on kick-off!
