The 2019/20 Foxtel Y-League fixture list has been released, with the Central Coast Mariners set to open their campaign away to Canberra United in round one.
The Mariners finished third in Conference B in 2018/19, just three points off the table topping Wanderers and will be looking to build on that when their season kicks off on Sunday, November 17th at McKellar Park.
The fixture is the same opener that the Mariners played in last season, where the side trailed for much of the match before two goals in the dying moments secured a victory to set them on their way for the season.
Nick Montgomery’s side will return home in round two when they host Sydney FC at Pluim Park, before travelling away to Marconi Stadium and the Wanderers in round three of the campaign.
Montgomery has all but locked in his squad for the campaign and said he is looking forward to the season beginning.
“It’s great to have the fixtures locked in now and myself and the team here are all looking forward to the season beginning,” Montgomery said.
“We’ve got a really exciting squad here at the Mariners that I’m looking forward to announcing and we’ll be ready to go when we travel to Canberra for round one.”
As part of the season the Mariners will feature in a massive triple header of action at Nestrata Jubilee Stadium in round seven when their meeting with Sydney FC is followed by a Westfield W-League and Hyundai A-League clash.
The Foxtel Y-League 2019/20 Season will commence on the weekend of 16/17 November 2019, with the top team from each conference to meet in the Foxtel Y-League 2020 Grand Final on the weekend of the 1/2 February 2020.
