Defenders Brent Griffiths and Hayden Morton, as well as versatile midfielder Anthony Caceres, have been promoted to the team that defeated Perth Glory 2-1 on New Year-s Eve.
Unfortunately, Argentine playmaker Marcos Flores sustained a knee injury at training on Thursday. While the former Newell-s Old Boys man will undergo tests on Friday to gauge the seriousness of the injury, it is extremely unlikely he will feature at the weekend.
Michael McGlinchey will play his final game for the Club before leaving to join J.League outfit Vegalta Sendai on loan for the majority of 2014. McGlinchey is due to re-join the Mariners upon the completion of the 2014 J.League season.
Bernie Ibini – who is in full training with the Club – will be eligible for squad selection from Hyundai A-League round 14 when the Mariners travel south over the Tasman Sea to take on Wellington Phoenix at Westpac Stadium.
